Relocating to Iowa

I have some friends from out of state that are looking to move to Iowa in the near future. They would like some information on how to go about finding the best neighborhoods, schools, banks and other services here in Iowa. Can any of my real estate friends out there give some advice on relocating to Iowa? Thanks!
